Debutul: George Denis Patrick Carlin a debutat în stand-up comedy alături de Jack Burns, cu care a creat o trupă de comedie în anul 1959.
Evenimente notabile: George Carlin a fost prima persoană care a fost gazdă la Saturday Night Live. A primit patru premii Grammy pentru albumele lansate. A rămas în istorie pentru "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television", o bucată de material care a făcut SUA să creeze un corp de control şi cenzură.
